The health and safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority at Moraine Lake Lodge. We have been closely monitoring the ever-evolving COVID-19 pandemic and since it continues to impact travel, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed for overnight stays for our 2021 season, re-opening on June 1, 2022.
Alternatively, our sister property, Cathedral Mountain Lodge, will be opening for the season for overnight stays on July 1 – September 26, 2021. It is located in Field, British Columbia, approximately a 45-minute drive from Moraine Lake Lodge. We are offering season opening special rates and would be happy to make a reservation for you at Cathedral Mountain Lodge. For more information, please call 1.866.619.6442.
The road to Moraine Lake has re-opened to vehicle traffic. Day services including the Café, Retail Operations and Canoe Rentals are now open daily at Moraine Lake Lodge. See our Day Visits page for hours of operation.

COVID-19 Safety Information
At Moraine Lake Lodge, the safety of our guests and team members is our first priority. We are adhering to all Provincial and Alberta Health directives and recommendations. Below are details on the measures you can expect when visiting Moraine Lake Lodge for a day visit this summer:
For Everyone’s Safety:
If you or anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of COVID-19, or have been asked to self-isolate, please do not travel or visit Moraine Lake Lodge.
You are not permitted to visit Moraine Lake Lodge if you have travelled outside of Canada within the past 14 days of your proposed visit.
For everyone’s safety, we require guests over 6 years of age to wear a mask or face covering in all indoor public spaces across the property including inside the café and store. Masks are also required to be worn at the canoe ticket booth, while on the canoe dock and when getting in and out of the canoes. Disposable masks are available for those without one.
Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the property and we encourage guests to use them frequently. These stations are replenished daily and checked regularly ensuring there is always product available. Washroom facilities are available to day visitors with running water, soap and paper towels.
Physical distancing measures and maximum occupancy capacities are in place in all public areas in accordance with Alberta Health guidelines.
High frequency cleaning, disinfecting and sanitization of touch points and seating. All of the cleaning products used by team members are approved by Health Canada and are proven to kill viruses such as COVID-19.
With these measures in place, we are confident that we can provide you with a great day experience at Moraine Lake Lodge.
