What better way to experience the beauty of Moraine Lake than gliding through its serene blue waters in a canoe? Moraine Lake Lodge offers high-quality canoe rentals to visitors at our canoe dock from mid-June to mid-September.

Day Visit Rental Information 

Experience the turquoise waters of Moraine Lake from the water. Day visitors can rent a canoe from our dock and paddle beneath the Valley of the Ten Peaks.

Canoe Rentals

$160 CAD + tax per canoe / 1 hour

Includes paddles, life jackets and basic instruction.

Complimentary canoeing is included with your stay.

Details

  • Each canoe can accommodate two to three people
  • Canoes are available on a first-come, first-served basis (we do not take reservations).
  • Pets are not permitted in the canoes.
  • Due to water levels, our canoe dock is only in operation from mid-June to mid-September.
  • We do close down without notice due to inclement weather (snow, rain and wind)

Hike Spectacular Trails

Some of Banff National Park’s most iconic trails begin right at Moraine Lake. Explore the Rockpile, hike to Consolation Lakes or take on the famous Larch Valley trail.

    Planning a Visit to Moraine Lake

    Moraine Lake is located in Banff National Park and access is subject to seasonal road and transportation restrictions. Day visitors can reach the lake through Parks Canada shuttle services, Roam Public Transit and permitted commercial transportation.

    Want More Time at Moraine?

    A day visit lets you experience Moraine Lake. Staying overnight lets you experience it at a different pace. Wake up beside the lake, enjoy complimentary canoeing, explore the surrounding trails and return to the Lodge for breakfast or dinner surrounded by the Valley of the Ten Peaks.
