DAY VISITS AT MORAINE LAKE

Located in the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Banff National Park, Moraine Lake is crowned by ten notable peaks.  A truly bucket list item, Moraine Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.  It was even featured on the back of an old $20 Canadian bill at one time!   The lake is stunning in colour which is created from glacial silt and is one of the most photographed lakes in the Canadian Rockies.  The area offers an array of activities; you can rent a canoe and paddle to the end of the lake, take a stroll along the shoreline, or hike a number of beautiful routes including Consolation Lakes, Larch Valley, Sentinel Pass and Eiffel Lake. If you prefer, you could simply purchase a beverage from Moraine Lake Lodge’s Snowshoe Café, find a bench to sit on and take in the lake and the beautiful surroundings.
